Thanks for this thread, @Tammyjane33. Visiting family and friends brightens up my day and seeing my husband and cat always makes me smile. Doing arts & crafts and going out in the fresh air on my mobility scooter cheers me up no end. Also sitting down in front of the telly with a nice cuppa and a bar of chocolate/biscuit works every time for me!

Oh I am a tv addict I have to admit, @Chloe_Scope and enjoy a good drama (especial period dramas) such as Poldark. I also enjoy documentaries, cookery shows and reality shows. Wildlife programmes are good too.Winner of the Scope New Volunteer Award 2019.

What also makes me pleased is when people work as a team. I was invited to a event today and I saw people were helping each other. It was the theme of the event. On the arts table, someone helped others make things. Walking around, I spotted people working as a team to cook delicious food like burgers etc and count money. I even witnessed volunteers sorting donations on stalls and helping by attracting people with microphones. There were volunteers also serving hot pizza, handing out drinks, cutting slices of cake and assisting with the raffle, lucky dip and tombola. I love it when people work as a team.

The fact that all the kids are back at school this week makes me happy! It means no more lengthy lines in pubs, shops or restaurants. We are going to see a film downtown tomorrow afternoon and probably get something to eat on the way back.
