    I’ve got a part time job but recently I haven’t been able to go to work due to the chronic pain

    Hello @lottie2007   Pleasure to help you anytime.

    Another organisation is the Community Health Unit of your local council who run a well being service.

    Looking at one to one support, advice and guidance all diet, nutrition.

    Found used them got my foodie qualifications through them, learnt educate my self.

    Please can I add well done to you for cutting out alcohol and  most important of all.

    If you know how much your consuming please speak to your GP. I would always discuss this with a Doctor be honest at all times..

    You may have to be referred to specialist help. 

    Just a thought. Any sudden with drawl of anything such as alcohol if you think drink a lot, must be monitored and safely.

    The problem is no one does, need to be taken in consideration.

    Alcoholism is many facets and many types you may not drink in your opinion a lot but it depends how much.

    Binge drinking a problem, may not for example drink every day but may have a few glasses or more on a certain days .Which involves drinking a whole bottle or more.

    That is alcoholism.

    With alcoholism if you feel the following applies to you need to seek the care and the facilities of rehab.

    You become a out patient all confidential, private.

    The following list.

    Understand you desire for a drink every day to cope with your issues or problems.

    Drinking after work or any activity.

    The need constantly to continue drinking even though been told to stop.

    Memory problems, issues remembering faces, people, friends.

    Hangovers and related symptoms of any alcohol misuse.

    Including forgetting to eat or sleep. Stomach bowel problems, headaches.

    Losing weight. Eating junk food and missing meals lack of appetite. Replacing with alcohol.

    Hiding it from friends, family and getting into debt, the sudden guilty, emotions depressions after any drinking sessions.

    Lying, deceiving family friends making excuses.  Using stealing, selling, pawning possessions to have a drink.

    Trust me seen that many times, usually not own money 

    Being violent and abusive when drinking using alcohol as a way to be confidence and give yourself self esteem.

    Units of alcohol vary from drink to drink.

    I do not ever wish to alarm you but this is something you may have to address speak to AA.

    Please if I can add this is a common problem with any one who has anxiety your not alone.

    I suffered thirty years being an alcoholic before realising was one.

    Have wealth of lots of experience of dealing with community members going through this right now.

    Be honest and open and you will be OK.

    Had alcoholic amnesia which means drinking to forget.

    Hi, when you don’t want to be on pain relief but you have to as the pain is chronic, hopefully soon I will have some relief

    Hello @avakarlsson   Please can add  I spoke to you this afternoon if you are having problems with pain, also mental health.

    Please have a look at these organisations .

    Mental health charities can help the panic attacks, anxiety using coping methods and strategies.

    Offer floating support and wellbeing, health and benefits advice guidance. Information and any thing else relevant, look at your pain and anything around this.

    How can they help.?

    Might not be in all areas.

    Hello  @avakarlsson   Thank you that is great good to hear.

    The charities links provided .

    This is using strategies, coping methods ways and means to deal with panic attacks, anxiety.

    Totally different being with groups of people like you and also using the education, knowledge of trained staff to assist you with any problems you may have.

    Mental health any health issues the more you learn and educate yourself the better you be able to cope and deal with anything.

    I always say that is your decision, know myself with out these charities have made look at everything changed my life.

    Reason can advise you be supportive.

    Using the knowledge and expertise plus always seeking out new ways and methods to advise members.

    One other the pain you have they may some do have in house advisors a large charity like Richmond Fellowship has many branches, advisor, staff and anything related to other health conditions.

    Often signposting to any of the in house teams.

    I found when I applied even having addiction and clean offered me some support guidance on anything I need.

    Just very useful.

    Please hope that may allay any fears, insecurities if you have them.
