I've recently lost my job and now I'm waiting for a disability assessment, try going to your local job centre they might help you with getting on a course , or look in local news papers

Hi @juliaparry24 welcome to the forum here at scope. It's nice to meet you. I'm Tammy, one of the volunteer community champions.. I'm Here to support, advise and support you and other members. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask. Thankyou for sharing a little about yourself. Thankyou for your suggestion. It's very helpful. I'm very sorry that you've lost your job, I've been in that situation before and I know how it can effect your self esteem especially if you have a disability and then have to cope with the struggles of general life.
I hope things go as well as possible with your disability assessment.
    Speak soon, take care.

I had a job I loved. Being in charge of Tourist \information centres..in Halifax and Hebden Bridge.
We had such chances to learn about areas other than our own and meet people from all over the world.

It was fun. I had to leave 20 years ago, through ill health. I enjoyed 12 years there.

Now I offer support to people on various on line groups.
