Workout accountability thread

So I thought I would start a workout thread on here. Everyone is welcome to participate. Basically you have to do a workout in the gym or at home and post pictures of you doing so. That way you will be supported and encouraged to exercise and get fit and healthy. I’ll also post fitness tips to keep everyone interested and motivated as well. It does not have to be a long workout or exercise session just whatever you feel like you are able to do. Any form of exercise counts.

For example I went for a walk around the neighbourhood or used my exercise ball.

To get you started here are some useful resources:

https://www.nhs.uk/live-well/exercise/10-minute-upper-arms-workout/

If you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask. No question is banned from here.

sounds great, hope lots of folk take you up on this as motivation is often the downfall. I always believed if you can do it every day for a month you are more likely to keep it up. I think I get enough exercise running around after 3 children and 2 dogs, never mind different jobs and hobbies. :)
life is too short to let others make you miserable.

Is that good. Do you have to pay for it or not?

Hello @April2018mom Thanks for this. This is great my favourite exercise is the sweeping of my vinyl floor.  In my tiny bungalow.

Decide against buying a hoover. Found none suitable anyway. So bought a broom do a sweep every other day for minimum for fifteen minutes and all helps.

Also one time went to the Gym did not like it much. Was lonely on my own constantly. No one wanted to talk to me. Gym costs too expensive. Then I found getting a lot of pain in my feet.  Also too tired to drive back. Not good and I tried to find alternatives.

Being born disabled just do stretches and a form of Chi Tia.  Slow movements most mornings.

Rather do a dance around the rooms . Most entertaining to the neighbours who can see.  If I have the windows open and the blinds open.

Especially one time the window cleaner.  His look on his face.

Anyway keeps me motivated. Also I know it is hard for some of us gents of the community to get fit and some form of exercise.

I know joined one of those centres called a resource centre. Had some ex para getting us gents working out.  All the gents put all of us to shame totally cream after barely ten minutes. All spread out sweating.  Thought never do that again. Not good at all but he expected us gents to be like him.. Up to army standard.

Proved a point next session not many came back.  Except me and few others.. All at Doctors with various ailments.

What irked me was it could have been done better.  Sensible practical approach and think of some of us who had disabilities.

In to  my diet and well being. See my posts.  Pleasure to contribute.

Hello @April2018mom Apologise for not replying.

In every town as well as villages are community centres or resources centres as you probably know.

What is happening to the ones where I live. The ideas of sending in to these centres. People from companies who specialise in getting us all motivated, inspired around diet and fitness.

Also town councils have a well being health group that they have set up to encourage people of the community . To look at diet fitness and general well being.

Have joined many of them. That is what I have meant. Lots of opportunities to doing qualifications.

    Where I got mine..

    Hope that helps.

    Great to have met you.

    Take care

So how’s everyone doing? I’ve decided to take up running in the spring and am currently visiting my local leisure centre twice a week to use the gym or participate in classes there. I also do workouts with my exercise ball at night sometimes.
