Hi there, my relatives are in receipt of Pension Credit, Husband is 68yrs old Wife is 63yrs old. She also gets Carers Allowance for looking after her Mum. Husband has got COPD. Want to know if he can apply for Attendance Allowance? Would it affect their entitlement to Pension Credit? Also would it be classed as a New Claim, affecting the money they already have coming in.

i think you may have to check with pension credit people, my late mum got pension credit and lost another benefit so check with them, good luck

Attendance Allowance is non means tested, so maybe it won’t affect anything they are already receiving.
