I'm so glad to hear that spending time with wildlife has helped to lift your mood! I find that spending time outside helps me to sleep better in the evenings as well as making me feel more cheerful, so it's good all round.
Aww, who doesn't love a squirrel

As you already know about my situation I am not going to go into detail here, however, particularly when I went through a very difficult period last year (because of what I have explained in great detail in my other posts) going to the park and feeding the squirrels and ducks really helped me. I find that once I am outside with what I call my little family of squirrels who run over to me when they see me, I focus on interacting with nature. They are such a sweet group of squirrels each with their own personalities😁 It’s really amazing about the difference it makes to me.😁
Thank you very much😁
It helps that the squirrels know me so I can get really close to take the photos.

I also feed two groups of mallards who come out onto the grass when they see me. One group has two baby mallards in it. I feed them duck and swan food as bread is extremely harmful for them (I have mentioned this in other posts).
Awww. I love ducks. My favourite thing is the sound of their feed as they scuttle around. It's the small things in life
Yes I've heard about bread being bad for them! I feel as though I need to repent for my childhood sins of going down to the river with stale bread.
I might give that technique a go, I'm boiling!

Thank you for your lovely comments and you’re very welcome 😁
Coots are often found in ponds and lakes. They are part of the same family as Moorhens and I have posted photos of some Moorhens that I also feed.
It really makes a difference being able to interact with wildlife and to observe them. It helps with my wellbeing.
The parents pick up a few pieces of the duck and swan food I give them in their mouth and feed it to the babies. I have seen them swimming back and fourth to a nest with food in their beak to give to the parent on the nest and the babies😁
I actually feed the squirrel holding on to the fence by hand and she is really friendly. She is waiting for me to give her a hazelnut🐿Yes she does think she owns the place along with the other squirrel with the short tail who was rolling around who spends a lot of time chasing the other squirrels😂
@CMM made a thread on photography the other day, @RAwarrior, so you might like to pop over and share your experiences! I'm sure they could give you some tips if you'd like. Phone cameras are so good now though. Other than mine, which is smashed to pieces

Many thanks for your lovely comments. I replied to your comments by tagging @Tori_Scope by mistake I had been replying to @Tori_Scope😁
I need to pay more attention to who has posted a reply. However, as you know I have been communicating with several members of the Scope Online Team recently but I need to pay more attention 😁
I love feeding squirrels and they are one of my favourite animals. The ones I feed regularly know me and are like a little family.🐿
Many thanks for letting me know about the photography thread and I will look at it😁
Fair enough, I'm sure that other users have some phone camera tips as well

I was sitting down feeding the squirrels when lots of Magpies arrived and I feed them monkey nuts which they break open with their beak. Once I had started feeding them, the one in photo just sat in the branch right above my head waiting for me to feed him/her. I was surprised as they don’t normally get that close.😁
Thank you so much 😁
The squirrel holding on to the fence is one that I feed regularly and she is very cheeky😁She takes the hazelnuts from my hand and she always poses like that when she is waiting for me to feed her😁

I have spent a lot of time with them and I think they trust me. It’s wonderful to be able to have a bond with these beautiful squirrels 🐿
