I was on PIP for sometime, but a couple of years ago I had to go for an assessment and was awarded ZERO. My PIP was stopped. The main factor for the original award was on physical disabilities due to back problems predominantly. I appealed. Appeal denied. It went to court. I received over 100 pages from this court of appeal.
My question now, is if I can apply again.
My back & neck are worse. I’m waiting for CT Scan which has been ordered by my spinal neurosurgeon.
Also, I’m suffering depression, stress, anxiety, hyperhidrosis, raynauds & chronic fatigue syndrome.
Nothing to do with COVID, but I’ve not left my house since March 18th, other than to attend A&E last month.
Any ideas?

Hi @kazbinpain hope you are ok this evening? Yes you can apply again might be an idea to wait till you have had a scan as any report from that might be good evidence, but do keep in mind that PIP isn't about your "conditions" but how they affect your care and or mobility needs on a regular basis.2024 The year of the general election...the time for change is coming 💡

HI,There's nothing stopping you from applying again. Although it's not awarded based on a diagnosis, it's how those conditions affect your ability to carry out daily activity based on the PIP descriptors. If you do apply then i'd advise you to fill out the form with as much information as possible about how your conditions affect you. Adding a couple of real life examples of what happened the lasy time you attempted that activity for each descriptor that applies to you will also help.I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying. If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help.

Thank you for your comments so far. I’ve no idea when I’ll get my back and neck CT scans. These have been requested due to surgeon needing more detailed imagery than my MRI was showing. This was done in March.

Hi and welcome, I would imagine you may have a long wait for CT scan unless it is an emergency as there will be long waiting lists
So it may be worth putting in the application now rather than wait as mentioned it may help but PIP is about the way your condition affects your daily life and not about the diagnosis
It may be worth a letter from your consultant to detail their findings so far -
Hi @kazbinpain, welcome to the community! How are you doing today?
