Hi there, new here! I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia last April 2019. Anyone else have it? Let’s share some suggestions and ideas to help each other ? I’ll go first - exercise really does help! Even if it’s just stretches for 5 minutes, it will all go a long way.

HI,Yes, we have a lot of members here with fibro, myself included but i do have other conditions as well. Exercise makes me a million times worse. Heat helps my pain.I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying. If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help.

Hello @bect93 It's nice to see you around the community! I wondered if you'd ever tried yoga? I don't have fibromyalgia but once tried it for a few months and really felt a benefit.

Hi @bect93, thank you for sharing this with us.
Here are some pain resources. I appreciate that they won't completely eliminate your pain and what you feel is real. However, there is some great information about managing pain which could be helpful.
- Pain Tool Kit (some useful information about tracking pain)
- Live well with pain
- Action on pain have a helpline so you can speak to others experiencing pain
- The British Pain Society's website also has a number of booklets and patient information leaflets about managing pain
