Phone call regarding MR submission

Hey all, so I was debating whether to submit this but wanted some advice. I submitted my MR around 4 and half weeks ago and called DWP the other day to ask for an update (anxiety getting the better of me) and was told that there was a significant backlog and it would take 11 weeks to reach my date of submission, so I finally settled in for the wait. Until yesterday I received a phone call from a lady from the DWP who introduced herself and needed some extra information on top of the information and evidence that I sent. So I was going through it with her and she was really nice and expressed what was needed to reach that particular descriptor. Then she said that this doesn't mean that I have awarded you or anything yet but if I read your bank details to you, can you confirm if they're accurate, so my mom did that (she handles my finances) and then because I was in an anxiety daze, my mom said that the DWP lady said that she was ready to award but it needed to be sent to someone else to verify the decision which is rare that it is not corroborated. She then asked if I had been in hospital or anything since and that I would receive a decision letter next week and if I had not, to ring the freephone number. So now I am kinda in an episode of what the hell happened. Could anyone provide any insight as to what this means?

HI,We could only guess what the decision will be i'm afraid. My advice will be to ring tomorrow morning and ask if a decision's been made, if it has they will tell you.Good luck and hopefully, it will go in your favour.I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying. If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help.

Hi @poppy123456, thank you! I will do that tomorrow, and fingers crossed a decision has been made and I can give you all some good news haha.
-
We can only guess but sounds like they just needed more info to make decision and now you have given it
Nothing out of order and the questions about bank details and hospital stays are normal -
Ah okay, thanks @janer1967! Hopefully it's a good decision, I'll give them a call tomorrow
-
@Comicmadtitan Good luck with the outcome, I have my fingers crossed for you

Hey @janer1967! I didn't, I decided to leave it till the letter comes haha. I thought the letter should be here soon and my anxiety has simmered a lot now. Thank you all though, you've been amazing. I'll keep you all updated straight away though

I'm glad you're feeling less anxious now @Comicmadtitan Definitely do keep us updated. Are you up to anything nice this weekend to take your mind off of things?
-
I definitely will @Tori_Scope! Nothing much, I may catch up on some TV if I can, or rewatch Drag Race UK. Its gonna be a long weekend haha. How about yourself?

I love a good weekend in watching TV @Comicmadtitan! I went for a walk and saw a couple of friends (distanced, of course), so it ended up being a nice weekend. I also had my first roast dinner in months

Oooh fantastic @Tori_Scope ! How was the roast dinner?
