Has anyone here regretted their selective dorsal rhizotomy?

We learned today that for our daughter, a rectal dorsal rhizotomy would be an option. I started to read online, and found lot of positive experience reports, and now wonder whether anyone would not have the operation if they had the choice (again).
I would also be interested in people who had had it themselves who could tell me what they think about it. I mostly read from parents who are so happy that their children now can do this or that. - I would really appreciate an inside view.

Thank you!

Hi @Udosdottir
Do you mean Swlwctive Dorsal Rhizotomy (SDR)? We have some information about Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy (SDR) surgery that might be useful and some members whose children have undergone the procedure @daniellelinleyxScope

The "rectal" should have been "selective" - no idea how I got that wrong...
