Hi,Medical evidence is only useful if it states exactly how your conditions affect you against the PIP descriptors and very often it doesn't state this. Mostly they will only state the basics, like diagnosis, medication etc. Sending your medical records is only useful also if any of them state exactly how your conditions affect you. I certainly wouldn't send all my medical records because it's far too much and most of them wouldn't state how i'm affected. Less is often more when sending evidence. When filling out the forms you should put as much relevant information as possible and then add a couple of recent real world examples of what happened the last time you attempted that activity for each descriptor that applies to you, stating who was with you and where it happened. You can also ring DWP to request an extension to return the form, if you don't have enough of time. When returning the form also remember to send it with plenty of time to spare because letters to DWP can take between 7-10 working days to be added onto the computer.Expect another assessment because most people have them. Face to face assessments are still suspended and telephone assessments have replaced them, so it's very likely that you will also have a telephone assessment.Hope this helps.Good luck.I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying. If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help.
