Hi,I too have the same disease, its chronic pain, that also traps all the nerves,I too have been told there is no cure. Heat is good I use a heat lamp it doesn't take away all the pain but it eases it a little,I was prescribed strong pain patches that take the edge off and hot baths relax you and the muscles relax more to ease it slightly.

Hi and welcome sorry to hear about the pain you are in, have you tried getting referred to a specialist pain management clinic or physio ?

Hi @Joshua1959 - As Jane has mentioned, seeking a referral to a pain management clinic, or for physiotherapy, may be options for you. Here are a few gentle physio exercises to try, if you scroll down to the last video on 'Exercises for degenerative disc disease' : https://www.nhs.uk/live-well/exercise/exercises-sciatica-problems/Also some resources from the Physiotherapy Pain Association about persistent pain. Please see: https://ppa.csp.org.uk/content/links-people-pain Please let us know how you get on, thank you.
