Hi @Daisy_olive_mummy - & welcome to the community. I'll ask @Richard_Scope who may be able to answer your query about SDR, as he's this community's CP Specialist Officer.

Hello @Daisy_olive_mummy and welcome to our community. I hope you and Daisy are good this Friday.
Until other more knowledgeable CP folk come along, I just wanted to signpost you to Scope's Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy webpage which has lots of helpful info on.

Welcome to the community @Daisy_olive_mummy
I've moved your post into the CP category for now, and changed the title slightly so that it'll be easier for other members to find. -
Hi @Daisy_olive_mummy
Great to meet you. Have the medical team gone through all of the implications of SDR surgery? From speaking to other families whose children have undergone this procedure and from my experiences of corrective surgeries, the key thing is physio, physio and more physio! It is also very important to manage Daisy's expectations of what the surgery can help her to achieve. By that I mean it is not a cure for her CP but it will with hard work, will allow her more mobility.Scope
