I always find google your best friend when needing to know the answers to these questions. A quick google brought me to these..Although some are not free.
Hope they help.
I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying. If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help. -
we have a question?? Is it illegal to discriminate autistic child, who has emotional, anxiety and sensory needs and is prone to loud and shouting in classroom, to be sent to the clock room to quieten down ?
this I ask because we were told he is taken in the SENCO’s office or in a quite library etc or they gave him ear defenders? We were reassured regarding this in our meeting with outside professionals
hope someone could help ? -
What is the clock room @yellow786flower?
Regarding the EHCP training, I found the same resources as Poppy when Googling. I did find some videos, which I've linked below:- Council for disabled children - what is an EHCP? and EHCP and Person Centred Connection
- Rotherham Council - what is an EHCP?
- Department for Education - EHCPs explained

hope someone could help ?I don't think they are discriminating him at all. Even though he's autistic, he still needs to learn right from wrong. He could be disrupting the rest of the class so maybe a good thing that they are removing him from class to give him time to quieten down.Ear defenders can help him to cope with any loud noises around him. Some people with Autism are affected by sudden loud noises. It maybe a good idea to have a read through some of the links that have already been posted. Having some understanding of what Autism is will definitely help you.I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. Thank you for the information
