Hello. I'm new here and just been diagnosed with severe bile salt malabsorption. I was wondering if I can claim pip?

Hi @Dizzylizzy61 and welcome to our community.
PIP isn't awarded based on diagnosis but how a condition impacts your ability carry out activities based on PIP descriptors. You can find information about these descriptors on this government website. You must have also have had difficulties with daily living or getting around (or both) for 3 months and expect these difficulties to continue for at least 9 months.
I've moved your post to our PIP, DLA and AA discussion board, but please ask any other questions you might have and we will endeavour to help!

HI and welcome,PIP isn't awarded based on any diagnosis. It totally depends on how your conditions affect your ability to carry out daily activity based on the PIP descriptors. You also need to have had the condition for at least 3 months and expect it to last at least a further 9 months.Extremely difficult to tell you whether you'll qualify because no one knows how your conditions affect you. Although a successful claim can potentially take several months. These links may help. https://www.citizensadvice.org.uk/benefits/sick-or-disabled-people-and-carers/pip/I'd also advise you to speak to an advice agency near you, this way you'll be able to explain how your conditions affect you and they will be able to advise you further. I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying. If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help. -
