Epilepsy Discrimination - Seeking Help with Getting Justice

Hi everyone, I am currently taking my previous employers the NHS to an employment tribunal for disability discrimination and constructive dismissal. I was diagnosed with epilepsy aged 9 and take twice daily medication.
I never ever imagined as a registered nurse I would be in this position but I am. I have 15 years experience working as an epilepsy nurse specialist and worked in a wide variety of clinical settings in the UK and overseas.
The effects on my professional career and health have been life changing. My main goal now is to raise funds for my legal team and demonstrate in court the injustice I faced as a person with epilepsy and as a nurse. Disability discrimination is just one aspect of my legal case.
If anyone wishes to help me raise the awareness of my case that would be really helpful, as I am not on social media apart from my crowd justice page.
Any questions please get in touch. I would also welcome any suggestions from anyone else who may have been in a similar situation.
Thanks for reading.

Thanks for your well wishes regarding my case. Apologies I was not aware of the use of external links for fund raising. Thanks for removing this.
I hope by making my case public in the courts this will raise awareness of epilepsy workplace discrimination and the subsequent impact on health employment and quality of life. -
Good luck for your case and erll done for making a stand and fighting for your rights and those of others

Personally i'm a person with epilepsy not an epileptic my condition does't define me, as far as employment goes I would say it depends on a couple of things,1) does the person get any warning before a seizure 2) how well controlled by medication are they?
My epilepsy is totally uncontrolled and i get no warning, i have grand mal seizures 2-3 times a week and absences 4-5 times a day, so for me its a case of health over wealth and I don't expect to ever work again. @janie1mack you might find the link below of some interest;

Shezz said:Hi @janie1mack
my best friend and a family member manages Epilepsy.
Many years she tried to hide it. Due to the stigma attached to Epilepsy as you will know in the sixties people were institutionalised. My friend is successful in her own right. I know how she's fought ignorance i'm happy to say she thrived had her own family. Enjoy her life to her best of her ability.
I truly wish you well. I suffer with absences so l slightly know personally what a person has to cope with daily.
If anything you remind yourself your doing a great job raising awareness.
There still room for improvement from employers.ignorance and fears. All Epileptics deserve to be treat fairly. You have right not to be discriminated.
Best wishes stay safe love

Thank you !
Over the years working as a nurse, I realise just how much people with epilepsy struggle staying in employment and how many people decide not to stand up to their employers when they face work place discrimination. This may be due to lack of funds not knowing their rights or just the stress of going to an employment tribunal.
I know my rights and now seek justice in the public courts. -
