Silenced and staying that way, if nobody gave advance viewing to Scope and other disability organisations. A good documentary.
The presenter is the one who appeared on children's t.v. and attracted complaints because, the great british public claimed, the fact she didn't hide her missing hand would "scare children".

Hi @newborn there was a post put on about this programme along with 2 others showing this week and next

Oh good. I thought nobody knew. I keep reasonably alert to BBC at least radio 4 trials, and often check in on Scope. Normally I would have looked on the first items in the recent posts section, expecting anything by Scope to be there. And this is something I would assume they, the staff, would be highlighting

Hi @newborn - here's Scope's post about the BBC programmes: https://forum.scope.org.uk/discussion/76226/upcoming-programmes-about-disability-on-the-bbc-january-2021#latest

@newborn Thanks for the additional heads-up for those who didn't spot the other post. What did you think to the programme?
I personally found it a difficult watch but felt it accurately captured the historic disablement of those with impairments. It's good to see such programmes getting air-time and being presented by disabled people with lived experience.
