Hi All
Just been reading an Express article:
express.co.uk/finance/personalfinance/1389520/PIP-claim-arthritis-rates-apply-eligibility-DWP-2021-news-latest-update
Never thought to claim a PIP over the years, I just get on with it.
How
would I prove the level of my disability which is slowly getting
progressively worse, particularly as a pensioner expat in Europe?

PIP is not awarded for a specific disability. You would need to evidence how you meet the descriptors in relation to daily living and mobility.0

@MarkN88 somebody else has asked me about that in a private message and they sent me the bit out the paper0
-
On my advocate page I have had people asking0

@woodbine if your already on pip it carrys on after retirement age0

Yeah which is why people should pay no attention to newspaper articles. They don’t look at a claim and say “oh s/he has arthritis so I’ll award them PIP”.They shouldn’t be allowed to post things like that.1

If your older as it says you can dtillnget pip as long as you get an award before pension age as you said @woodbine you can't claim it when your pension age0

@woodbine agreed I posted it so Mark could see where people are getting the idea from I had 26 queries on my advocacy page because of it0
