How would I prove the level of my progressive disability as a pensioner expat in Europe?

Hi All
Just been reading an Express article:

Never thought to claim a PIP over the years, I just get on with it.
How
would I prove the level of my disability which is slowly getting
progressively worse, particularly as a pensioner expat in Europe?

PIP is not awarded for a specific disability.You would need to evidence how you meet the descriptors in relation to daily living and mobility.

If you are over 65 you cannot claim PIP you would claim attendance allowance.
As for doing so as an ex-pat it depends where you live, how long you have lived there and if you are covered by the withdrawal agreement.2024 The year of the general election...the time for change is coming 💡 -

Yeah which is why people should pay no attention to newspaper articles.They don’t look at a claim and say “oh s/he has arthritis so I’ll award them PIP”.They shouldn’t be allowed to post things like that.

@lisathomas50 ah the daily express the worlds top authority on benefits lol, sorry couldn't resist that, the fact is the OP can't claim PIP he is a pensioner and two he's living abroad and that might now make claiming AA more difficult that it might have been pre 31st December 2020.2024 The year of the general election...the time for change is coming 💡

If your older as it says you can dtillnget pip as long as you get an award before pension age as you said @woodbine you can't claim it when your pension age
