You should make an appointment to see your Dentist, I'm sure they're open during lockdown as they're classed as an essential service.

@MrAllen1976 im going tóo ring my dentist on mondáy
-
You need to see a dentist @Ibelive2020 but its highly likely that they will just give you antibiotics for now to get rid of the abcess. Until its gone most dentists wont mess with the tooth.

Cant get tó my tooth anyway as its wisdom tooth it keep trying tó push through then gum grows over the top
-
Did you manage to ring the dentist today @Ibelive2020?

-
i'm glad i had all my wisdom teeth out when I was 20, hopefully @Ibelive2020 your dentist will sort you out tomorrow2024 The year of the general election...the time for change is coming 💡

@woodbine im 40 now and only have 1 and half wisdom teeth upto now lol

I was lucky that mine all came through a couple of years ago without any problems. It's good that they're seeing you so soon, fingers crossed they'll be able to fix the problem @Ibelive2020 I'm sorry that you're still in pain, but keep doing those three things!

If you have an abscess they will give you antibiotics a weeks supply first as the infection blocks the anaesthetic. They generally refer you to hospital for GA depending if wisdom tooth is impacted they will take an xray to access this. If its not to difficult they will arrange an appointment generally for a week away to return to surgery and extract under Local anaesthetic. They will be able to tell with xraY if infection has spread to other teeth. The antibiotics take 2 to 43 days to start working and you must complete the course of antibiotics.

Sorry antibiotics take 2 to 3 days to start working dont know where 4 came from. I was a dental nurse before my disabilities and Mental Health
-
When i developed a bad access last year the hospital sent me home with a very strong antibiotic (500mgx3 per day).2024 The year of the general election...the time for change is coming 💡

Was it Metronizodol
-
Did you go to Dentist first or hospital. Antibiotics is always first step to rid infection
-
I can't remember what it was tbh, I have the memory of a goldfish ! I went to the hospital first as the week before my face had swollen I had a really bad fall.2024 The year of the general election...the time for change is coming 💡

I had my wisdoms took out when I was 11.. Almost 34 years ago.
-
Had mine taken out when 11 or 12 yrs cant remember precisely. I have had toothache in my adult years and its the worst pain. Especially when your laying down the pain and its like you have 2 heart beats.

My pain is really bad never félt nothing like it bút hopefully i wont be in pain much longer

Try and sleep with your head elevated so pillows high. This will help. Also try to fall asleep with cheek placed on pillow opposit to side with pain. Sometimes having tv on helps your mind a little a slight distraction from pain.
