I’m looking to run an online fund raiser soon, what charity do you think I should support? There are so many!

I want to get the decision changed because I never mentioned anything about my mental health just about mobility and living I can't even go out the house I'm too scared in my own house I only can talk to women not men when I'm dyslexic

    Hello @Bettyboo12

Welcome to the community, sorry to hear you didn't get the decision you were hoping for.

I have moved your discussion to our PIP category, have you started the appeal process yet?As suggested above, if your mental health does have an impact on your daily living and mobility, please ensure you detail this in your appeal and include examples.

Could I ask are you receiving all the support you need from your GP to manage your conditions? I'm sorry to hear you don't feel safe in your own house and are fearful to go outside, is that due to your conditions?

You aren't making a fool of yourself at all, it's common for people not to get the result they hope for on the initial claim.

    Hi @Bettyboo12

Nothing is in your head at all, sometimes people are either just bad listeners or need telling something a few times. It's sad that people can be like that, but it's always worth persisting to get what you are entitled to.

If appealing the decision is something you will be doing, Advice Local is always a good option so that you can find some assistance nearby to you.

Just to check, have you also spoken with Scope's helpline about this query? :)

We have just sent you an email from community@scope.org.uk, it would be great if you could give it a read and get back to us.
