Pancake Day

Yes! Today is Pancake Day, the day to create our own unique pancake and let everyone else find us weird for what we choose as toppings :)
  • What are your favourite pancake toppings?
  • Feel free to post your pancake pics, the more the merrier!
  • How do you eat your pancakes, rolled up or folded?

Fun pancake fact

The largest pancake was created in Rochdale, Greater Manchester, in 1994, by the Co-Operative Union, Ltd.

It was 49 foot (ft) wide and one inch thick. The pancake weighed three tonnes (that's the weight of an African elephant!).

I like my pancake rolled up, sprinkled with sugar and with a squeeze of lemon on top.
this year I may also add golden syrup to the centre before rolling. Very sweet though!

I like savoury fillings in them too like chicken and bacon or fish in sauce or savoury mince

We always used to have pancakes on monday with left over sunday roast

For sweet I like banana and nutella folded up

Centre parcs have a pancake house they do all types always have to indulge when there

Sounds very sweet @leeCal, you'll have to ensure you brush your teeth thoroughly after that monster of a pancake :D I tend to have sugar with lemon juice myself, and rolled up of course.

I've never really had a savoury pancake @janer1967, I might have to give one a try though.

I'm not really a Pancake guy, I know it's traditional but I'm having Beef noodles for tea tonight.

I hope you enjoy those beef noodles @MrAllen1976

Do you mind if I ask what it is about pancakes that don't float your boat? :)

I remember having a cherry pancake in a restaurant once, very tasty. Must be easy enough, just need a tin of cherry pie filling for the centre, roll it up and place a dob of vanilla ice cream on top, woah! ? yum.

    That sounds quite nice @leeCal

Pancakes from desert bars are the best, although I imagine they're not overly healthy...

They take too long to make to be honest, whereas if I want to cook my own tea I can put a Pizza in the Oven, set a timer on Alexa for 15 minutes and sorted.
