Any advice on dealing with bereavement of a sibling?

I’m sorry to hear of your loss @Gordonm bereavement is a hard thing to deal with. All I can say is that I lost my sister to pneumonia and other complications some ten years ago and it still hurts though not as much as it did at the time, I had all sorts of feelings when it happened including anger at a life taken so relatively young, aged fifty two. But time does heal and I wish that for you too.

Sorry for your loss and hope you get some support from the suggestions from others
We all deal with loss in different ways but it is important you reach out and talk if you are struggling to come to terms with the loss

What kind of specific advice are you after? How are you coping at the moment? -
I havn't seen my brother from the start of covid but I have spoken to him on the phone
We were supposed to go out for a coffee when the restriction was relaxed but he had to cancel
Next thing he was in hospital and 5 days later he was dead
I wasn't even allowed to go to the funeral so it's been difficult to get my head around this -

No every one in our family is now deceasy

I think it's important to remember that the grief might never really 'go away', but rather your life grows around the grief, which makes it feel a little smaller. Here's an illustration to demonstrate that:

@Gordonm if you take a look around the coffee lounge another part of the forum there are always people there just to have a general chat to if you would like to talk about your brother. I really hope you have someone to talk to about him. Do you have any old photographs of you both as chiildren? I love looking through old family photos.
