@cupcake88 hi, I’ve literally just received it in the post. Denied, ofcourse. The decision maker went with the report. My report was received my DWP late on 27th February and the decision letter is dated 2nd March, so made within 3 days (assuming that the letter was printed the same day as when the decision was made!)

@berry123 I’ve just started my own discussion regarding MR.
I’ve heard here that GP letters are not all that useful in describing your day to day difficulties. Have you ever had therapy or on the waiting list? Did you give examples of how you face difficulties with various tasks? Apparently that’s useful but I did give all that information and still didn’t score any points so don’t know anymore ?

@berry123 and @anxiousbird I’m sorry to hear you have not been awarded pip . Im
not sure what your disability is Berry is it mental illness ? I think yours  is all mental illness @anxiousbird or some physical too ?

my Disabilities are all mental illnesses I have no physical disabilities, I was awarded pip so I haven’t had to do a MR so I wouldn’t want supply you false information but I will say that the evidence I sent off was care plans from the crisis team so if your under a community mental health team or any sort of specialist they might have care plans all about your illnesses and how they affect you . The care plans I sent off were given to me by the crisis team that have different notes from professionals With in the mental health team that not only talked bout my illnesses but how they affected my day to day , I also sent off a prescription list , and my partner wrote a letter about how my illness has affected me daily referring to the pip descriptions so if you have some one who lives with you or sees you regularly who can write how they see how your disability affects you that makes really good evidence .

@anxiousbird If your therapist can supply you with some information on how your illness affects you for you to send off that be great also .

A pip assessment is one of the most stressful things . It made me so anxious before and after the assessment I made no sense I was so anxious I’m so glad my partner was there to support me on the phone call .

I’m under a community mental health team some times they have people who can help you with filling out benefits the crisis team do .

Do not give up keep going I know it’s hard but we are all hear to support you .

Thanks cupcake88! I did send off most of that evidence along with a letter from my therapist but it feels like it’s all been overlooked.

It’s a flawed system unfortunately. Keep me updated with how you progress with your MR, I’ll do the same :)
