id like to mooch around a garden centre and have a coffee.

not until 17/5? (and use the loo's from then as there's little places to spend a penny!)

@ the mo have to sit on a wall or bench with takeaway coffee / burger etc.

Same here. Headlong march of the desperate, reckless and stupid for me. I’ve survived 12 months without going into a single shop and managed to get food, drink, music, books, presents, chocolate and clothes. If they want my business there will need to be masks, social distancing, limited numbers and strong ventilation. That’s before you even get into the public transport and moving through crowds of COVIDiots in a city centre discussion.
I go early by foot or will miss out / delay if busy inside.

clothes / footwear are better in person.

Clothes especially are better in the flesh for me if not busy inside.

the bath bombs / soap are great with personal service / recommendations when quiet inside.

I can understand that, bet your excited for the shops opening on Monday?

I’m planning a new sofa too but I’ll be able to order mine online.

Which shops do you tend to go with for sofas?

Can't wait to get back to life again, but we all need to be sensible. as Mike said, otherwise we will be stuck inside again and personably speaking I honestly feel that I couldn't go throw this again.  I just can't!  But, neither would I want to give Covid to anyone else, ever!

Yes, it's going to be a very tricky balance when the shops re-open.

I do feel for those who've set up shop as smaller retailers though. It would be a shame to see even more shops shutting as a result of recent events, and us losing that sense of community that we get from having a decent local high street.

I think there is one big problem, those who's income hasn't been too affected by covid have money to spend, after all for most of the year they haven't been going to the pub/eating out, going on foreign holidays, savings apparently are at an all time high, trust me the flood gates are going to open next week.
