Hi when I applied for my disabled buss pass in wales I applied on line if the buss company can't give you one you can apply from your local council try the online application for your area first ?
-
Thank you
sorry I forgot to mention I did it online yesterday.I had a email about 5.20
saying I left out information but I put it in there.I can see she’s low on points
shes got enhanced on both parts so I did think it was ok yesterday. But I’m concerned there maybe a problem now.I have to call them I suppose.Just checking how you manage if that is the case.Than you -
If she has got enhanced on both that will be ok for a bus pass I had to send proof of my points on enhanced and a utility bill or bank statement it does take a whilst phone them to make sure you have given them everything you need and they will tell you I dont think you will have a problem speak to them though and check they have everything they need and you should be fine ?

I can't see it being a problem if she got enhanced for both parts of PIP, but all passenger transport authorities have different ideas, sounds like your best plan will be to phone them.2024 The year of the general election...the time for change is coming 💡

This is what is confusing me
I uploaded the letter with it on there.Evidence of disability
Please submit a copy of one of the following pieces of evidence, making sure to submit the entire document, including all pages.Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) Personal Independence Payment (PIP) Statement of Entitlement, which shows:8 or more points under Descriptor 7 “Communicating Verbally”; or12 points under Descriptor 11 “Planning and Following a Journey”; or8 or more points under Descriptor 12 “Moving Around”.(11)
got 10 for planning a journey.(8)
4 points for moving around.14 points. That’s not enough looking at this to me?.
I have to call and ask them in the morning .I did think the same because of Full Mobility. Thanks -
@fire1342 phone them tomorrow to see what they say hope it goes well let us know how it goes

Hi there
Sometimes it isn't the total points awarded but the specific for each descriptor which seems to be the case here
Each provider and LA have their own rules
Fingers crossed you can sort it out -
Yes I was always under the impression it was not about the overall award but about specific points scored on specific descriptors.
-
@fire1342 how did you get on today when you phoned about the bus pass
-
Good morning
(mark is right) thank you,
Yes I was always under the impression it was not about the overall award but about specific points scored on specific descriptors.
ok I called the transport Wales
Yesterday. The points she has is not a suitable for to automatically qualify.I had to call the Council office
and speak to the man who deals with this.I’ve had to email medical evidence like you do for pip.So I’ve got to wait to see and hopefully it will be ok.I have got the same problem with the blue badge I think
Because of the way the points I made up.I can see me doing the same thing when they ask me. -
Unfortunately the requirements to get a disabled bus pass in Wales is too strict, it’s easier to get pip. I had a disabled bus pass but they removed off me despite me providing the same information to get it. Also if you have arthritis you are not allowed a disabled bus pass in Bridgend.

I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying. If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help.

Provide documentation of your wife's condition, such as her PIP award letter or other relevant medical documents, to support her eligibility for a disabled bus pass. This can help establish her need for assistance in planning and taking public transportation.
