Anybody else struggling to sleep

And hungry too but too late to eat must be the diet

    Maybe a milky hot drink and a couple of plain biscuits? usually does the trick for me.

    I struggle to sleep quite often i get up make a cup tea take it back to bed and usually does the trick don't know why

    what times do you usually go to bed

    insomnia is so lonely and isolating its nice to know people are still awake

    I usually go to bed about 1am I'm a night oel not a morning person

    Yes I watch lots tv too much lol 

    But as I have limited vision  I find it too much strain to read or other things

    I don't look at the TV but watch from internet old soaps from the eighties I hate the new ones, just started series 2 of lime of duty and love old episodes of sunset beach which is really bad acting and corny it's my guilty pleasure lol

    Got to sleep at about 2am

    Gonna make an omelette soon  starving you having anything

    I went to bed at 1am but bad dream woke me up so took a whole to get back off 

    I don't tend to eat breakfast just 1 meal a day at tea time I know it's not healthy but just suits me

    id love to be able to do OMAD I do sometimes but I get hungry it would really help me lose weight

    Insomnia can be really lonely, so I'm sorry you're struggling with that at the moment @Geegeenumber1. Are you familiar with the concept of 'sleep hygiene'?

    Also, some people find OMAD useful as it helps them to limit the number of calories they eat in a day. If you want to eat at a calorie deficit to lose wait and find OMAD difficult, perhaps you could try eating less food more often? Some people find eating 5 or so smaller meals per day helps them to manage the number of calories they take in.

    Hi

    Yes I know every trick in the book my insomnia is quite rare

    I couldn't eat five times a day as I'm.a food addict. I eat one to two meals a day and fast during breakfast usually 

    I'm having about 1700 Cal's but struggle to lose weight. This is calculated for my height and weight

    I can't exercise which doesn't help

    I see @Geegeenumber1. It's good that you've taken into account your height and weight. If you stick with what you've calculated, then you should hopefully see some progress over time. 

    Have you spoken to a doctor about your insomnia, or tried any treatments such as medication or talking therapy?

    yes i take sleeping tablets 10 days in the month they wont give them out any more regularly than that they're not very effective though]

    because I'm immobile i don't use up energy in the day so find it hard to sleep but its not every night

    i have had insomnia for about 30 years, can easily still be awake at 6am most days.

    I've had insomnia since coming home from hospital, a place I found it hard to sleep in. Normally I would get 7 - 8hrs a night. Now it's only about 3hrs. 12.00 till 3.00. I am up by 5.30am every morning including Sundays and find myself napping in the chair in the evening, something I can't help, I just nod off even when watching a TV programme, I like.  ?‍♂️

Brightness
