We have a dog so I walk her daily. I also have a mini bike exerciser which I use 3 times a day for2 minutes working on doing it for longer. It’s strange that walking can cause pain but peddling doesn’t.

Well done on doing weights and dieting something I should be doing. I’m a comfort eater with a sweet tooth. I don’t have a bike, I’d probably fall off. It’s just pedals  with straps that I put my feet into and pedal when sitting in my chair. My physiotherapist said peddling would be easier than walking and it is for me. Good luck with your diet.

thank you its a long slog but i have just paid for soe very expensive weight loss injections. some people can get them on prescription but not many. they really reduce the appetite

i think i could do with those pedals i mostly stay laying down all day working from home i wish i could walk its more difficult because i used to be super fit and actve

im a comfort eater too esp boredom eating !

I didn’t know there were weight loss injections. I hope that they will work for you . I know it’s really difficult to have our abilities and capabilities taken from us. I’m thinking about taking up knitting again to keep my hands busy and away from putting sweets in my mouth. I hope you’ll keep me posted on your diet. Keep motivated and good luck

I try to walk 6k to 10k steps daily.
Often surpass 10k though like to have a reason to venture out (beverage or shopping etc.)
Take music along which can aid motivation, along with a tracker device. (glad to get out once out but need a push)

    Luckily I’m naturally athletic.
For example, I can do forty winks in under ten minutes! ?

    Hi @Geegeenumber1
How are you? Thank you for starting such a great thread. I try to exercise daily, I do physio, weights and I have a hand bike which I use for my arms, though I alternate the weights and hand bike, too much all in one day :)  Exercise is really important, both for physical and mental health and can also help with other elements of life like socialising. Though I personally don't massively like swimming, I know it is good for supporting mobility and is great for people with limited mobility. Please may I ask, are there pools local to where you are? I hope that you are able to get to a pool soon if this interests you. I also play wheelchair basketball, though not recently due to the pandemic, and I also help to coach football. Thank you.

Hi! Wow it sounds like you are really active that's great. I'm not much of a swimmer but until I can get my knees sorted can't walk. I do weights ar home now trying to lose weight. When I get a mobility car in a month or so I can go to the pool it's not possible to go any other way because of my bad knees. I might be getting knee injections and I'm trying to lose some weight to help

What weights do you do. I've bought some 20kg dumbbells mostly donupper body because of my knees the hand bike sounds good they can really get your heart rate up as k remember from the gym
