Hi I am on pip High rate care for mantel health nothing for mobility i asked for a reconsidation got turned down I suffer from panic attacks anxiety stress ibs arthritis in both knees and feet bed back walk with a stick should I fight them

Hi @Gary1964 - & welcome to the community. May I suggest you have a look at the following link about the activities/descriptors that are looked at for PIP. If you then feel you might get sufficient points for the mobility component that may give you an award, then you're in a position to know whether it would be worth appealing. Please read the notes at the end, as you also need to be able to do an activity 'reliably' i.e. safely, to an acceptable standard, as often as you'd like, & in a reasonable period of time.

Hi looked at that b4 but the new rules concerning mantel heath says I should get pip mobility due to enxiety panick stress they give me enhanced care for these things but not mobility

Hi @Gary1964 - there has indeed been a change in PIP law about the 'Planning & following a journey' descriptor in the mobility component of PIP, but only if a claimant was perceived to suffer 'overwhelming psychological distress.'
