You will not lose redundancy money if you claim Carer's Allowance. The notice period payments will possibly affect the date from which you can receive Carer's Allowance (I can't remember how it's treated but the rules are quite complex).Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Rules may be different in other parts of UK.

Hi and welcome to the community
Glad you have an answer to your query
Sorry you have been made redundant and wish you well for the future -
Thank u.
I also would like to know if my notice period. From work would stop as if u have a job? as
My notice payments are more than carers allowance
Thanks again. X -
As already advised, claiming CA will not affect your entitlement from your previous job. However the payments from your job may affect the date from which your CA can start.Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Rules may be different in other parts of UK.
