Looking for a small fabric footrest for my 3 year old son- any ideas?

Hello all,
I'm trying to find a fabric footrest that I can use to support my 3 year old when I'm out and about. I want something that will pack quite small so I can carry around in my bag and that could be added to a range of chairs. Is this a bit wishful thinking or does anyone know where I might be able to find one?

I'm sure it isn't wishful thinking so lets put our heads together and have a look for you. Just to check, have you explored a referral for an Occupational Therapist assessment if you think that might help/is appropriate?

Thank you @Cher_Scope and hello. We are muddling on through thank you. Yes, he has had OT assessments and has received a chair and buggy through this. They couldn't help me with this though and suggested I buy a step to place under the table. I don't think this would work as would be bulky, won't necessarily go under different tables and might not be high enough for him to rest his feet on. So im hoping for something I can attach to chair legs.

Thank you @chiarieds The first one could be great for using on his smaller chair, so will get one for that. But it won't help him when we're out and about and sitting on dining style chairs as he is too high up off the ground.

They are clever @chiarieds but I'm just not convinced these are the style that would work best. Thinking under a dining table/restaurant table etc. Tricky one

Ok @mgatward - back to the drawing board! It would help if you would say why you feel your son needs a footrest, if you don't mind......or does he just need support sitting on say an adult-sized dining chair? I thought about some strong webbing, but I can't find anything that would attach to a dining chair's legs, sorry. There are booster seats/cushions that would fit around a dining chair; might they help?

Oh thank you. You're being so helpful @chiarieds He uses too much energy when his feet hang or if his back is unsupported. Sometimes he doesn't want to go in a highchair (his twin doesn't need to) so I place cushions, my rucksack or more recently an inflatable cushion that I bought behind his back. This helps with his fatigue but when he can't rest his feet, he slides forward, is extremely restless and finds it challenging/too tiring to eat. I've attached a photo of something I've just seen but can't get hold of...

Sorry for delay, for some reason I was unable to post for a while.

Just to add, I'm not sure about this, as if little ones have foot support, & don't want to go into a highchair, this can mean they arch their backs resisting, so perhaps something that holds him in his highchair in a supported fashion 'may' be better. However, you know your son best.

I'm coming from a background of being a physio (many years ago; so many years ago that we were also taught about OT as our city hospital didn't have any OTs), but also a background of treating babies & young children.
