Hi and welcome to the community
It is the same format as a f2f assessment
They will go through what you put on your uc50 form to get more information and ask general questions based on your capabilities to do any type of work
Have a copy of your form to hand and read through it before
Think of real examples of what happened when you try to do the activities, why you can't do them and what are consequences of doing them

Think I’d prefer a face to face then they could see how badly my knees are swollen and other joints how do they make a decision by phone x0

I can only speak of my own experience with a telephone pip assessment.
It wasn't anywhere near as bad as I feared.
I had no impression that they were trying to trick me or catch me out as I've heard said.
Maybe I was lucky, but knowing that will not make me feel any better about any future assessments...lol0 -
Yea it’s just nervous wracking x0

Also I’m still waiting on more recent test results and an appointment with my rhemotologist to discuss so iv no clear diagnosis only it might be this or it might be that0

It isnt about a diagnosis so don't worry about that
Just say how it is mention how swollen your knees are eg twice normal size , and the appts and tests you are waiting for
Don't think too deep into it just tell it as it is
