Hi everyone,
Looking for some advice/ information.
I have a telephone assessment for pip on 22nd November. Im absolutely terrified as i know lots of people struggle to claim for pip for anxiety.
This is my first time claiming and its been soo stressful for me.
Looking to see if anyone has been Successful with receiving pip for anxiety.
Ive suffered with anxiety for a number of years and struggle on a daily basis. I dont go out on my own or socialise due to anxiety being soo bad. I cant get on public transport as causes me panic attacks. And when i drive i have to know where im going. And i avoid crowds as i cant cope being round loads of people.

Welcome to the community @charlotteg31 It's great to have you with us.
Just to let you know, I've moved your post into our PIP category so that other members will be able to find it more easily.
I'm sorry to hear that you've found the PIP process stressful so far. You're certainly not the only one to feel this way.
Although some people don't get the award they were hoping for, many people with anxiety do manage to successfully claim PIP.
In terms of the assessment, it can help to have some real world examples prepared for each of the descriptors that are relevant to you. You can refresh yourself on the PIP descriptors here on pipinfo.net. Did you keep a copy of your form?
Some people also find it helpful to have someone sit with them in the room while they're having their telephone assessment. Is there anyone that could sit with you who'd help you to feel more at ease?
It's also good to have a drink and snack with you, and to ensure that your phone is fully charged.
Remember that you can ask for the assessor to repeat any questions you didn't hear or didn't understand, and that it's okay to take your time with answering the questions. -
@Tori_Scope.
I can get my mum or sister to sit with me for phone call.
I have a copy of my form and how i answered questions. Just scared they will ask a question and i dont know how to respond to it.
Fingers crossed i can get pip. As it affects me daily. As i avoid crowds and situations due to the anxiety. I also have to get my mum or sister to ring and talk over the telephone for me. So doing a assessment on phone is getting me more panicked.
In your opinion do you think i would get any help. As i avoid alot of situations and crowds. I work early morning and late evening so im not around lots of people. And will only go out/food shopping with my mum or sister. I also only travel to places i know. If i dont the place my sister or mum would take me. As i panic if i get lost.
Everyday is a struggle for me as my anxiety is bad and struggle to go to work Everyday.
I gave up an afternoon job as i was not able to cope with the amount of people around me. -

I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying. If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help. -
Hi Welcome to the community,As poppy mentioned it would be impossible for us to say as we don't know you or how your conditions affect you. I just wanted to ask if you've ever looked into the conditions of Autism/Aspergers Syndrome as you have a few traits from the sound of it.I have autism and suffer really bad social anxiety to the point I don't leave my room much. I can't handle public transport, can't be in loud crowds or noisy places and only go out to places I know and only with someone with me. I do have many other traits however these are the ones that match yourself.I'm not 100% saying you have autism, just saying you relate to me and I am diagnosed as autistic. So there may be a cause for your anxiety which you may or may not want to look into. All the best,

Be careful my assessor lied about me said the opposite of what I said
