We are Grace & Virtue, a new wedding outfit company in the UK, hoping to set up by summer 2023.
Our research into the so-called “bridal” industry has highlighted that the majority of bridal shops are still highly gendered, heteronormative and focus on white, able-bodied and neurotypical brides. One of our aims is to ensure that everyone, no matter their identity, regardless of any disabilities and conditions, have an enjoyable and comfortable shopping experience when trying to find their dream wedding dress or outfit.
We are conducting research, asking individuals within certain minority communities to provide us with some insight and feedback into their experiences when they went shopping for their wedding dresses or outfits, the contact they have had with the shop employees, and any changes that they would have made to the experience.
We also want to hear from those who haven’t yet had the experience of shopping for their wedding dress or outfit and what their expectations are/what they would like to experience.
We would be very grateful if you could share this survey within your community for people complete our survey, allowing us to provide the best service to all nearly-weds:
For the sake of this form, we are using the term 'bridal industry'. Bridal industry refers to businesses selling wedding dresses/outfits and accessories, and often providing services to try on these outfits in a luxury setting, as well as fitting and alteration services.
