    I'm entitled to the £500 my question is I'm claiming carers allowance and carer element of  universal credit ,will the £500 be deducted ?

    I can't find anything in the updated details on Gov.uk that suggests whether it will affect UC or not. It only mentions tax credits. https://gov.wales/unpaid-carer-financial-support-scheme

    I've read somewhere as uc is means tested ? As I'm entitled to the  £500 whats the point if its going be deducted ?

    Yes, UC is means tested but i can't tell you if the £500 will affect it. Some one off payments do not affect UC but i can't find any information regarding this payment.

    The £500 is for Wales only

    The payment will not impact any benefits you may be receiving.
    The payment will not:
    • be taxable
    • be subject to National Insurance contributions
    • be included as part of income when calculating entitlement for tax credits
