Good morning @KitCAT69 welcome to the online community and it's great to have you on board.
How are you and I hope you are managing to cope with the heat?
Please feel free to have a look around the forum whenever you are ready, you can browse different topics on our categories page or chat with members in the Coffee Lounge.
If you'd like to see the most recent things people have been chatting about then you can also visit recent discussions. and the threads in the accessibility category may be of particular interest to you. I see you are particularly interested in information and tips about holidays and transport for severely disabled people. Your query will resound with a lot of our members on the online community and I have amended the subject heading of your post so it will be more visible to them and I am sure that our members will respond with some helpful information and support.

Welcome to the community @kitkat69
Thanks for joining! I hope you're both coping with the heat okay.
We have some information on our website about planning a holiday, which you may find helpful to read. Perhaps you could take a look, and let us know whether there's anything you're unsure about?
Is there any part of organising a day trip or holiday that you feel particularly worried about?
Would the holiday be abroad?0 -
Thank you for your help. I will look at the information you suggest. We have actually found an organisation that does holidays for disabled and their carers. We are going with them on Monday!0

My husband and I find it difficult to use hotel booking websites as they don’t give enough information about accessible rooms. We usually have to phone to assess whether a room; particularly the bathroom facilities, is suitable. I think it wouldn’t be too difficult for them to provide a fuller list of facilities provided by hotels. With this issue in mind I have started a petition on Change:
