I can hear your frustration @natdb. Hopefully, you will hear from someone soon.

In the meantime, is there anything that we could do that would make this feel more manageable for you?

We are all here for you if we can do anything to support you, even if that is just providing a listening ear  :)

If you haven't already then request the MR on the decision not to start your LCWRA element from the 4th AP. You can also contact your local MP. Give them all the information, including the date you reported your health condition and the dates of your assessment periods. More of than not, this does get them shifted. https://www.parliament.uk/about/contacting/mp/

    AwwThankyou 💞

If you want to make a complaint then follow this link and you will find a form where it says start https://makeacomplaint.dwp.gov.uk/  If you want to discuss it with your MP then find out who is the MP for your area and it should give you an email address. Personally and reading your circumstances I would complain first and if nothing changes then I would contact my MP. It's a personal decision though.

Hi I still haven't heard from UC they never reply to my journal messages, but I've put in a complaint to DWP as shellbell20 and poppy suggested, I will let you know when I hear anything, it's extremely frustrating x 😭

Have you requested the MR yet? If you haven't then you need to do that to get the ball rolling. The MR decision can take up to 12 weeks, sometimes longer so the sooner you start that the better.

They are pretty quick with complaints. You should hear from someone in the next couple of days.

Just a tip if you haven't already when you put message on your journal are you flagging it as payment query as this should normally mean a decision maker or your case manager sees it

I know it's  hard to contact them but try ringing when they first open and request a call from your case manager

That's a great tip!  I hear what you're saying about ringing them when they first open which makes sense and I didn't realise you could ask for your case manager to call which is interesting, however, I think sometimes some people find it hard to make calls or get up first thing in the morning, I know I do with insomnia and anxiety when making phone calls, so the tip about payment query online is great info.

Just an update I finally got through to UC through my journal after trying for weeks and they said they've done a MR for me, I also sent a complaint about having to wait 6 months for my first LCWRA payment 3 weeks ago but haven't heard anything yet, it's so frustrating 🤬
