Just got the message to say they haven’t made a decision yet I phoned up April had my assessment 5th August how long was it before anyone got a text to say they have made a decision

From when the report is returned to DWP it takes 2-12 weeks for a decision. They will only send a text if you're successfully awarded.

Just got this text at 8.04am today (24th october)
Is there a rough timeline between this text and decisions, or is it just an automated message? Thank you

It is an automated message. You should expect a decision within 12 weeks.

That's really lovely to hear! Thank you for taking the time to thank our members, as I'm sure it'll mean a lot to them.

Well done on your PIP award, too. I bet that's a weight off of your mind? Fingers crossed your decision letter and payment will arrive soon.

    Hi everyone
this is about my one millionth time Applying for pip.
    I was always rejected
but this time I had some help with the process.
On Tuesday 29/11/2022 I had a text saying “we have not yet made a decision on your claim”
when I have applied before and was rejected I never received this text.
Should I take this as a positive sign this time? I’m so very anxious.

Hi, did you ask for a copy of your assessment 95% of the time they just go off that mine did and I got accepted maybe worth requesting

    @Emajayde92

The text doesn't mean anything other than what it says it's something they have started to do which is why you won't have had one before

@happyfella reviews are taking a long time with priority going to new claims

That's why they are sending forms out so far in advance if it gets close to end of your current award and no decision has been made they have been extending awards

The texts are a new thing for DWP and haven't that long started to send them out. That text you received is a standard text and doesn't mean anything other than what it says.

Hi Everyone. Myself and my partner applied for pip on the same day as we was advised to, we both had our assessments on the same day. My partner recieved a text on the same day of our assessments to say they had recieved his report and I recieved mine 3 days later. My partner recieved a text a week later to say he had been awarded but I am still waiting. I recieved a text on Wednesday morning to say they still have not yet made a decision ect and now I am really worried that I may have been declined.

The timing means nothing. If they haven’t made a decision yet then you haven’t been declined. If you had been declined that would be a decision. Unfortunately you still have to continue to wait

Maybe request your assessment report most of the time they go off that might put your mind at ease
