Free car tax - but.......

Have any of you actually used the benefit of free car tax - that comes with enhanced PIP Mobility ?
For myself - it involves a trip to the post office in the next town
A 25 mile round trip !
Disabled car owners are going to have poor mobility - so why does DVLA not make it a simple on-line application ?
Surely with technology as it is today - this would be a simple task ?

Hi @wibbles
I can see how this could be an issue, with your nearest Post Office being so far away!
Do you mind me asking why you'd need to go to the Post Office in person? It's not a process I've been through myself.0 -
That's the whole point of this postTori_Scope said:Hi @wibbles

You MUST attend the PO in person to get the forms processed!0 -
I have the DWP statement of entitlement
But DWP do not run the car tax systemIt is run by DVLA and they require an application in person at the post officeRenewal is done on-line, but the initial change in tax class must be done at the PO0
