So glad you got yours so quick, i knew when i seen the text it would be in the new year but if they go with assessment  i know i will get awarded just a waiting game would probably help if i checked for texts more often
    Merry Christmas to you all

I received a text like this just now and it’s confusing because: 9 Dec - telephone assessment & text confirmation that report had been received 12 Dec - got copy of the report and, despite accurately recording my difficulties, assessor decided my symptoms were ‘out of scope’ and because I have never received additional support via NHS, scored me 0 for everything. I expected a quick refusal and have been prepared for mandatory reconsideration process 26 Dec - text saying decision has not yet been made Assuming it’s just a holding text because I understand decision makers rarely contradict the report

For those who already have received the
(automated) pip text did it look exactly like the following regardless of whether you have already had an assessment or not?:

“ We still have your PIP form and will be progressing your review as soon as we can. You may still need an assessment with a health professional. Your PIP will continue to be paid until we review your claim. You only need to contact us if your circumstances change.”

Also I know a few people on here had a success pip award text within 5 days of receiving the above text (or a similar text) but are there any members that waited longer than a fortnight/still waiting and had (further) phone calls/assessment since receiving the above text?

i understand what the scope moderators are saying in their comments (don’t read too much into automated dwp texts) but I for one find some comfort in looking for patterns (which is better than feeling clueless)

so far the only thing that most can agree on is that the dwp don’t seem to send ‘pip claim has been unsuccessful’ texts - everything else is guesswork

You would expect the ‘we haven’t made a decision’ text to follow a certain number of days after the ‘we’ve received all the information’ text. I don’t know if that is the case.

Logically there shouldn’t be any pattern between the ‘we haven’t made a decision’ text and the ‘award made’ text because they don’t know the decision is made until it’s made so how can an earlier text be linked to the date of that decision.

You can't really compare that text to other peoples text because all claims are different. Few people have had a decision quite soon after that, while others are still waiting several months after that text and have received further texts saying the exact same thing.
Most people have assessments so you should prepare for that, if a paper based assessment is achieved (rare) then it's a bonus.

Most people on here have had text saying no decision but 2 days later text to say awarded I'm on day 2 since no decision text starting to worry now. Can they text anytime of the day or is it just mornings from experience

Some have had texts soon after but not everyone and you really shouldn’t go by other’s experience.
Other members experience has suggested the text comes early in the morning, which is likely because when a decision is made it can take up to 24 hours to show on the computer and then the text is automatically generated the following morning.

My text came through at 15.42 which surprised me as I thought they were all sent in the morning.

It's all just anxiety inducing text to say got report, text to say no decision, then today letter to say we've got everything we need... delayed in post I think but the wait is horrid.

Everyone waiting for a decision experiences more anxiety, even before the texts started to be sent. DWP most likely decided to send more updates through texts to try to stop people ringing to ask for updates so which ever way you look at it, they can't win either way.

Was that text telling you they received the report?

The wait is annoying. I requested a copy of my assessment report so I already know they scored me 0 for everything. I’ve started prepping the case for MR/tribunal so I want the official refusal letter & then I can get on with the next stage.  Don’t understand why they have not just sent it!

They can't send the decision letter until the decision is made. Though they usually go with the report, it has been known for them to go against it, even when the report may suggest a recommendation of zero points. I've seen this happen many times. The report is not the decision.

Yes it was, perhaps I should have stated that in my reply.

Yes, going by lots of others who have award texts usually receive that text first thing in the morning.
