WCA ASSESSMENT LCWRA

Hi, I was placed in LCWRA group in February 2019 with a review after 23months.
They're Very Backlogged but Haven't heard anything since.
Bit then I see in my requested SARs pack  when I asked for All info DWP have on me, that a case worker at UC wrote in my notes in August 2022
"Reassessment/WCA", then a note  in September "Award Notice sent to CSI and local council."
Am I right in assuming they've Reassessed my LCWRA status on paper? They Did this on 1st Application No 1o1.
(Incidentally Both my original PIP Application and Review were paper based assessments and around the time of these notes my PIP paper based Review took me from Enhanced DL/Standard MB, to Enhanced on Both.)
If this Was a WCA Reassessment there's no report from that in my SAR papers,  but nor was there a report on my PIP paper based review so I'm Hoping I'm ok to think I Have been placed in LCWRA a bit longer & just haven't been notified.
Although I know PIP and LCWRA are very different things with different criteria it's well known for 1 to have an effect on the other when it comes to favourable,Relevant reports/Consistent evidence, DWP will take note.
Hope you knowledgeable folk will be kind and advise me please :-) x

Reviews have been suspended since just after the first lockdown in March 2020 so you couldn't have had a review. LCWRA is an ongoing award anyway until a new decision says otherwise.

Hi Poppy yes they were Very behind but they've definitely restarted the WCA reviews I've 2 friends who've recently been reviewed, 1 on UC 1 on ESA.

    It's the wording "Reassessed',
and 'Decision/Changes Shared' that seem to indicate they've Reviewed.
          The original Review Date says
    '23 months from 13th September 2019'.
I don't know why they'd send a  decision if a decision hadn't been made, I'll stay positive as ever :-)

Assessments are only happening for Change of Circumstances or new claims. Any claims that were sent an ESA50 or UC50 a month before lockdown (COVID) may also be assessed. No reviews are being done currently due to overwhelming backlogs and when they start it will be those who haven't had assessments for many years that will be assessed first. Some reviews have been automatically re-awarded to reduce backlogs, which is what has happened in your case(which explains no ESA50 or UC50 form). Nobody is being called in for reviews or being sent ESA50 or UC50 forms.

Just to add to above comment lots of people on ESA/UC have had their claims automatically re-awarded without necessarily being notified by the DWP, which explains lots of comments on forums and twitter regarding reviews going on  without any paperwork or assessors. I had noticed comments about reassessments restarting...nobody is being contacted to attend any appointments or send back paperwork.

Thanks very much for you comment emc123. You are entirely correct that PIP can have an effect on a WCA/review, if a PIP report is consistent with an inability to work for example...unable to leave the house due to psychological distress etc...it's entirely possible especially if your PIP assessment is recent that they will just use that information to make a decision regarding WCA. In fact most of the people who have had their reviews automatically re-awarded were getting PIP, not in every single case but in most. It's not normal practice and they are supposed to be separate assessments but due to massive backlogs it's easier and just makes logical sense. I must  stress though, they will only do that if your PIP report is consistent with an inability to work, if they are not sure they will get an ESA50/UC50 at some point in the future, when they properly restart.

Could I bother you with a question please I've made a separate post but dont know how to tag you :-/ I'll copy it here if you'd not mind asking if your dad might know.
...Hi, is there still such a thing as Registered Disabled?
Just seen a post on a Facebook group where someone said their husband is "Registered Disabled And in receipt of PIP" but I've heard there's not a Register as such(felt it was inappropriate of Me to ask the poster).
This made me think about something I'd noticed on a random sheet in my SAR information a question *Disabled, answer was Yes*, I don't know what department wrote that I'm LCWRA & PIP but it wasn't specifically from them, so could it be noted by DWP in general?
So now I'm more curious :-/
Thanks to anyone who can clarify  :-) x

There is no such thing. But if you get PIP that might be why it's marked Disabled

Sorry I had issue with above post...there is no disability register but if you get PIP/LCWRA that might be why it's marked Disabled.
