After going through the required steps, I was awarded an amount of PIP. I challenged it however was told I have to submit a new appeal for any changes to be took into account.  I did this, with required evidence etc. I now get a letter saying I am having another telephone assessment??  Is this normal??

In a previous thread you said you reported changes to your health condition. See thread https://forum.scope.org.uk/discussion/100533/anyone-have-any-advice-or-experience#latest
This assessment will be because of the changes you reported, it’s perfectly normal.
In a previous thread back in October last year you asked for advice regarding a MR, did you continue with that? If so what was the decision?

If you reported a deterioration of your health, which it what you appear to have done, then you will have a complete reassessment to review your whole award.

If you challenged the decision by submitting a Mandatory Reconsideration of the decision then you would have a reassessment but they would not be able to take into account into any changes in your health since the original decision.

Hi Poppy, yes, I remember my posts. I di the MR but was advised by PIP I had to do a new appeal to include any changes in health as they couldnt do that in a MR? I reported changes in my health and again was advised they would only look at it on a new appeal not my current one or a MR??

They cannot take into account changes in your health that occurred after the original decision for an MR or appeal on that decision.

It’s got nothing to do with a new appeal. You reported changes which now needs another assessment.
