Timescales are up to 12 weeks, some wait less and some more. You won't need another assessment. Sometimes a decision maker will ring you before they make a decision but don't rely on it because it doesn't always happen.

Thank u @poppy123456 just when my decision came through I was awarded pip but some of the things they put in like have the use of prescribed crutches and I can drive is wrong as I don't have crutches as I wear an aircast boot and I can't drive with the boot on let alone walk with it on or off x Hopefully won't be too long x0

Hi Just curious. My friend sent for an MR 4 weeks ago. Today she received a call today asking her about more information on how she’s handled daily things and then asked if bank details were the same. The lady then told her she’ll hear back with a couple days.Is this a positive thing. Just wondering if anyone else has had the same thing or and award after that type of phone call.Or can explain their MR process.I’m helping her with her claim. So need a little insight. Thank you0

They sometimes ring before making a decision. They could have been just asking them to confirm their bank details, i don't think it means anything other than that. There's been members who did have a MR decision in their favour after asking the bank details question and members who weren't successful after having that question.

Hi, I've recieved a text message this morning from DWP saying they are still looking at the claim and they will write to me with decision? Any clue what this means? Any help would be grateful.0

Any help would be grateful. You've posted on a thread related to PIP. In your other thread here you said it was DLA you applied for. https://forum.scope.org.uk/discussion/103648/dla-text#latest the texts and letters you received are standard updates, they mean exactly what they say.As advised in your other thread once a decision is made you will be contacted.0

I understand that, but it seems they don't care about the stress that many people go through waiting to hear. They could provide more communication. I know they have a backlog but they should provide more communication to put people at ease.
