Is this normal prodecure?

Hi all I applied for pip on the 2nd February. On the 22nd March without any warning, my mobile rang and it was a medical assessment. On the 23rd I got a text saying dwp had received my report. My assessment was only 23 minutes long is this normal procedure thankyou

With an assessment being that long you should have been notified of the assessment date and time. If they ring just to ask a few questions then usually the call doesn't last very long. Other than that assessments can last anything from 20 to 120 minutes.Now the report is returned a decision can take anything up to 12 weeks.0
