Dwp uc restart headache

Yeah be lovely eh. Think I’ll probably have to work even with a pension. I don’t have a private one , just the state pension. Not enough to run a house and car on my own. It’s disgraceful really but a sad fact now. I should be able to cut do though which is something to look forward to . 67 now so I’m hoping I get to that age before my kidneys pack up. I won’t take one from my family incase they get it in later life and only have the one kidney. I’ve come to terms with it though and I’ll make the most of my life(weekends anyway). I’m not unhappy just tired and my body doesn’t want to get up at 5 am now. Hopefully there’s something that can help u. Is there no advice on the websites that give all the information you have .0

That’s not correct. The work capability assessment is still very much active.Philonline said:did you know the DWP have also now dropped the work capability assessment? If you’re referring to the white paper then this isn’t due to start until at least 2026/27 for new claims and potentially as late as 2029 for existing claims. If it goes ahead at all.1 -
Nothing I have found apart from other restart nightmares although it's called different things in different areas, as for the pension same here only state no private but I have many unpaid years due to only working part time and my own small business which my voluntary payments were not being paid by my darling ex a bookkeeper who decided to pocket it instead but it's hard to prove as she was very clever, hopefully as the 67 pension age is going to be phased in over 3 years I believe I might just miss it fingers crossed1

This is just a proposal, & even if it did happen, the WCA will continue until at least 2026/7, & any change would initially only affect new claimants (current claimants would not be affected until 2029 at the earliest). Please see Cher_Scope's link here on the Health & Disability White paper: https://forum.scope.org.uk/discussion/103385/your-reaction-to-todays-budget-and-the-health-and-disability-white-paper/p1 read from section 133 with section 156 being especially relevant.Philonline said:..... did you know the DWP have also now dropped the work capability assessment?

Buga I read a headline the other day and it said RIP the WCA and I thought it was finally dropped but being laid up and sick of them I didn't read the whole thing, wishful thinking as I did sign the petition a good while ago to get rid of it, sorrypoppy123456 said:

I will be retired long before then thank god, my comitments clearly state I do not have to look for work, I was told I only have to attend restart for 1 year and they asked for a copy of my commitments and after I submitted a copy they seemed to go all forcefully with me unlike the nicely nicely at the start.chiarieds said:
