Uc budgeting advance

Morning everyone hope your all OK?
Not sure if this question has already been asked or if anyone knows the answer but here goes
I'm nearly at the end of paying off my budgeting advance and would like a new one to buy baby items as I'm due in 8 weeks
Online info says eligibility is maternity expense but that's in England and I'm in wales but the wales eligibility states nothing about this being part of the criteria I'm just confused. Does anyone know if I could be entitled for maternity expenses (if dwp grant me an advance)

I am not aware of any differences between UC budgeting advance rules for England and Wales. Where are you finding the information that suggests differences?

- emergency household costs such as replacing a broken cooker
- getting a job or staying in work
- funeral costs
If is is your first child have you looked at a Sure Start Maternity grant?

You can ring the helpline to request a budgeting advance. As it’s not your first child then you won’t be entitled to the sure start maternity grant.I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please.
