Do you decorate for Autumn and Halloween?

I feel like decorating for the seasons is a very American concept. But, I have seen more people get into it over the years.
Growing up, we've always had seasonal items and swapped round decor bits but also because of their use. For example, we have servewear that is lighter and looks more summery. But then in the autumn and winter we have pieces that are a little heavier, bulkier and generally has the use of being able to go in the oven. Some are also shaped like pumpkins
I love swapping out my bedding to match the season, and generally start decorating where I can. My friend thinks decorating the house is more of a just for Christmas thing.
What do you think?

- Does decorating for the seasons get you in the mood?
- Does it give you an excuse to have a "spring clean" each time?
- What seasonal items have you bought recently?

I don't see halloween as a "season" and never decorate the home for Autumn, Christmas yes but only the week before for 10 days.2024 The year of the general election...the time for change is coming 💡

@Grinchy I think your house looks terrific! I just hope you don't scare away the trick & treaters...

Looks great @grinchy

@Grinchy That looks amazing! I bet you were the favourite house to visit! I'd love to do something like that! 😊
I've already got the autumnal bedding on. It's basically autumnal colours with a leaf pattern, but it makes me feel cosy 🥰 I love getting all the candles out but never thought of autumnal flowers. May go on the hunt @Sandy_123 they would have to be fake or else they dog thinks they are dessert 😂Hannah - She / Her

I don't decorate for any season. (Not even the end of December.) But I do appreciate others decorating externally. Helps break up the year and confirm which month we're in. Much of the year the year looks the same in a suburban flat otherwise.
May even crack a smile at a humorous display! -
@OverlyAnxious Do you ever do walks at Christmas to see all the lights and trees in peoples windows? I love it 🥰Hannah - She / Her
