Hi I have just had to claim uc recently was moved over from esa contribution because i needed help with rent i live alone i had my first statment .I get enchanced pip both parts but don't get any disability premiums so would my daughter be entitled to claim the carers element (not carers allowance ) she's also on uc but works part-time would this if she was to get it affect any of our benfits many thanks for reading

Hi @shaybo - your daughter would be able to claim the carer element so long as she doesn't receive the LCWRA element herself (as you can only be paid one or the other & LCWRA pays the higher amount).Her claiming the carer element for looking after you won't affect your PIP award.0

Thanks so much so I would still get the lwrca and she could get the carer element no she doesn't receive any disability benfits0

Yes, your LCWRA would still continue. Sorry, should have said that also would be unaffected.
