Hi all, new to this site but finding it very useful!
I've been having health issues for the last 4 years and struggled to work up until last July.
I have some confusion with LWCRA...
I have been awarded this in August, but I'm unsure when or if I get any extra money for it.
Can anyone point me in the right direction please? Thanks 😊

Hello @Pinklady23
Welcome to the community! You keeping well?
You may be eligible for an additional amount with LCWRA. You should be able to see on your award letter or journal.0 -
Hi Hannah, I'm good today thanks!
It doesn't actually say on my journal.... just that I've been classed as LWCRA!
According to my award letter, it states I will be paid 3 months from the date of the medical evidence?
So is this from the first fit note or date of the decision?
Sorry but this is all new to me... hence the confusion!
Thanks.

Ok, after having a nosey at some of the other posts on here, it seems that it goes on dates etc?
So first fit note sent in May 29th ... health changes declared June 3rd... assessment was August.. due to them cancelling in July as my doctor was on holiday!
Awarded on the 14th August... continuous fit notes since May.
Assessment period is 23-22 of the month.
Hope this helps?!0 -
Hello @Pinklady23
It is all very confusing! So you are correct there is a 3 month assessment period waiting time and the extra money is then paid from the 4th month of your claim. So it should be next month as your assessment period is 23rd to 22nd. If there is any back pay, they will let you know and send that through separately.0 -
Hi @Pinklady23 - from the link Hannah has provided, you'll see that the Limited Capability for Work and work-related activity (LCWRA) element pays an additional £390.06 per month on top of your standard allowance. You provided your fit note & reported your health condition during your assessment period of 23 May-22 Jun, so that wasn't a full month. Based on what you've said:Your 3 full months are therefore Jun-Jul, Jul-Aug & Aug-Sept, with payment due in the 4th month during your assessment period of 23 Sept-22 Oct, so due 29 Sept. If added then, then there's no backpay; if it's not added until 29 Oct, then one month's backpay would be owed. @Hannah_Scope wasn't quite correct.2

Thanks @chiarieds Have I got it mixed up and it is PIP that the backpay comes separately?1
-
Yes, usually if any backpay is due with PIP, then it's paid separately @Hannah_Scope1

Morning all, hope you're all well?
Thank you so much for clarifying this for me, it's all new to me so any information is much appreciated!
I'm struggling to come to terms with my situation but knowing there are kind folks like yourselves ready to help, makes a huge difference, so thank you.😊
