Yeah it does seriously need addressing because the wait times are far too long.1

It will be because of the amount of people that have started a claim. I remember the backlogs were the same when PIP was first introduced way back in April 2013 and i waited 11 months at the time for a decision.

And COVID probably hasn't helped matters either.0

Only a couple of weeks ago I requested medication one day early as we went on a break for 5 days. When I called pharmacy they hadn't received it. Dr hadn't signed it ,that was with 2 weeks notice. They are the most unprofessional surgery around. Now this. I may contact my MSP as they need to be held accountable for the inefficient service they give to patients. Thanks so much for the advice. Much appreciated0

I do know that the case manager can make a decision without Dr's input but to ignore such requests is just plain wrong. I may also write to the Practice Manager but in the past she has sided by the Dr's who all 3 privately own the Surgery. It's a shambles0

I wouldn't say it's covid. More to the point that it's a new benefit and they didn't realise just how many would actually start a claim. Perfectly reasonable.

Well this afternoon I received a call from my case manager informing me that after 7 calls to my Dr's Surgery she had no response. Due to this, I had to send pics of my prescription copy to her on the government website,a decision will be posted out tomorrow . She was absolutely brilliant on the phone and very understanding . So I should hear for the end of the week. Nearly 6 months and I'll finally know the outcome.0

Well after waiting since April. )Thinking it was may) got a call from my case manager on Monday and was told a decision has been made but she couldn’t tell me what it was. She did say “ I wouldn’t worry about the decision. And it won’t change ur circumstances but it might help “ so I’m taking that is I’ve been awarded but she couldn’t actually say it. So let’s see what I get. She did tell me she was absolutely heartbroken reading thru my app as my hubby took his own life last year. And left me 35 years old with a 6 year old child behind. The PTSD. Is a bloody struggle but I will inform when I receive my letter. She did say in a few weeks
everything takes so long. . Why when decision is made will it be weeks for us to be informed
so weird. 🙏🤞🏽2 -
Fingers crossed for you @nikkibee86, waiting is the worst! Hope you get the result you need, keep us posted1

25th April I applied . Sorry but if it's a no I think that is totally unacceptable to make anyone wait that long for that response. I was told Tuesday that the decision would be posted out the following day

@vonny_23 I hope ur soon too, I was end of April also so u shouldn’t be too long I’d imagine 🙏🙏🙏1

Went on webchat with them earlier. My decision letter is on way. Don't know what to think as it may be a refusal but I hope not after 6 months of waiting 😕0

Did you ask them what that decision was? If it's anything like PIP and they can see that decision they should be able to tell you. Though with PIP it takes up to 24 hours for them to be able to see it on the system. There's not been much feedback from ADP claims, other than the backlogs are rather long.0

She said she knows the Decision because she was the one who made it but for data protection she couldn’t tell me , and she explained why. But told me not to worry . So god know. 2 people I know who applied welllllllll after me have had their payments and letters this week. So what’s the deal with me waiting a few weeks on the letter . She said it just has to be put into the system or something . Fingers crossed I am happy with it. Cos I’ll just appeal it if not1

She told me once I sent her the pics of all the medication I have to take for my COPD and other illnesses, she'd be posting out my letter the following day. It was sent out on the 18th, which was Wednesday . It can take up to 10 days to receive it. She did apologise for the time it took to deal with it. So, like you, if I'm not happy with it, I will appeal to. Hopefully you and I will hear any day now 🙏Fingers crossed its the correct decision 🤞0

I, too, was told they are not allowed due to data protection to give you the outcome over the phone or online chat.0

Hi. I was transferred from pip to adp- standard rate care- in May. I had put a change of circumstances into pip in January 2023. This triggered the transfer.
I sent off the change form with evidence end May and everything was logged onto ADP system by June 18th.
I have now been in a queue since and a week ago was told the process time was well over 6 months now. I know its new I know staff levels are low. However how long is too long?
I keep panicking because I know I am waiting on something and keep forgetting I am ok and don't need to do anything. Like I have forgotten to do something and that's the issue. Anyone else been waiting for a change of circumstances to be actioned?
Thank you.0 -
I sent my change of circumstances form off back in February and I rang up at the beginning of October as it'd been 8 months and I'd heard nothing and they said a case manager had the form but they couldn't give me a timeframe on how long it was going to be. Very frustrating to say the least.1
